The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
I swear by (the angels) who stand in ranks, 1 And those who drive away (the wicked) with reproof 2 And those who recite the Reminder, 3 Verily, verily, your Allah is one!- 4 the Sustainer of the heavens and the earth and of all that is between them, and the Sustainer of all the points of sunrise! 5 We have adorned the lowest heaven with the beauty of the planets; 6 Protecting them against every wayward devil, 7 These satans cannot listen to what transpires in the High Council for they are pelted away from every side 8 With a driving fusillade, and theirs shall be a torment perpetual; 9 Some of them who stealthily steal words from the heavens are pursued by a glistening flame. 10 Then ask them (O Muhammad): Are they stronger as a creation, or those (others) whom we have created? Lo! We created them of plastic clay. 11 Nay! you wonder while they mock, 12 And they do not understand, when explained to. 13 When they see a sign, they laugh at it, 14 And they say, “This is nothing but clear magic.” 15 When we have become dead and have become dust and bones, shall we then verily be raised? 16 Or our fathers of yore? 17 Say: 'Yes, but worthless' 18 It will be but one Shout, then see, they are watching 19 And say: "Ah woe! This is the Day of Reckoning." 20 [It will be said], "This is the Day of Judgement which you have been denying." 21
