Prostration (Al-Sajdah)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
Alif-Lam-Mim. 1 The revelation of this Book free of doubt and involution is from the Lord of all the worlds. 2 Or do they say, 'He has forged it'? Say: 'Not so; it is the truth from thy Lord that thou mayest warn a people to whom no warner came before thee, that haply so they may be guided. 3 It is Allah who created the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them in six days; then He established Himself above the Throne. You have not besides Him any protector or any intercessor; so will you not be reminded? 4 He disposeth every affair from the heaven unto the earth; thereafter it shall ascend unto Him in a Day the measure whereof is one thousand years of that which ye compute. 5 He is the knower of the Unseen and the Visible, the All-mighty, the All-compassionate, 6 The One Who created all things excellent, and Who initiated the creation of man from clay. 7 Then He made his progeny from an extract of water base. 8 then He duly proportioned him, and breathed into him of His spirit, and bestowed upon you ears and eyes and hearts. And yet, little thanks do you give. 9 They have said, "How can we be brought to life again after we have been lost in the earth?" In fact, they have no faith in the Day of Judgment 10 ۞ Say: "The Angel of Death, put in charge of you, will (duly) take your souls: then shall ye be brought back to your Lord." 11
