3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
And indeed, [it was for this reason that] Noah cried unto Us - and how excellent was Our response: 75 And We saved him and his family from the great affliction. 76 And, his progeny, them We made the survivors (i.e. Shem, Ham and Japheth). 77 And left for him (a goodly remembrance) among generations to come in later times: 78 Peace be upon Noah among all the peoples! 79 Thus do We reward the righteous ones. 80 Surely he was among Our faithful creatures. 81 Afterwards We drowned the others. 82 ۞ And indeed, among his kind was Abraham, 83 When he came to his Lord with a pure heart [attached to Allah Alone and none else, worshipping none but Allah Alone true Islamic Monotheism, pure from the filth of polytheism]. 84 When he said to his father and his people: "What is this you worship? 85 Is it a falsehood - gods beside Allah - that ye desire? 86 What do you think of the Lord of the Worlds?" 87 He cast a glance at the stars 88 And he said: verily I am about to be sick. 89 But they went away from him, turning their backs. 90 He then sneaked upon their deities and said, “Do you not eat?” 91 "What is the matter with you that ye speak not (intelligently)?" 92 then he turned on them, striking them down with his right hand. 93 And (his people) came toward him, hastening. 94 He said, “What! You worship what you yourselves have sculpted?” 95 even though God created both you and that which you have made?" 96 They replied: 'Build for him a building and cast him into the fire' 97 They plotted against him, but We brought humiliation upon them. 98 He said: "I will go to my Lord! He will surely guide me! 99 My Lord! Bestow on me a son who will be of the righteous. 100 So We gave him the glad tidings of a forbearing boy. 101 and when he had reached the age of running with him, he said, 'My son, I see in a dream that I shall sacrifice thee; consider, what thinkest thou?' He said, 'My father, do as thou art bidden; thou shalt find me, God willing, one of the steadfast.' 102 But as soon as the two had surrendered themselves to [what they thought to be] the will of God, and [Abraham] had laid him down on his face, 103 And We called out to him saying: O Ibrahim! 104 You have fulfilled your dream." Thus do We reward the good. 105 It was certainly an open trial. 106 So, We ransomed him with a mighty sacrifice, 107 And We kept his praise among the latter generations. 108 "Peace and salutation to Abraham!" 109 That is how We recompense the righteous: 110 he was among Our believing servants. 111 And We gave him the good news of Isaac - a prophet,- one of the Righteous. 112 And We showered Our blessings on him and on Ishaq; and of their offspring are the doers of good, and (also) those who are clearly unjust to their own souls. 113
