And We certainly saved the Children of Israel from the humiliating torment - 30 from Pharaoh, who ranked high in sin, 31 And We chose them, purposely, above (all) creatures. 32 And granted them Signs in which there was a manifest trial 33 [Now,] behold, these [people] say indeed: 34 There is naught but our first death and we shall not be raised again. 35 So bring our fathers [back], if what you say is true. 36 What! Are they better than the people of Tubba and those who were before them? We destroyed them because they were guilty of sin. 37 And We did not create the heavens and the earth and what is between them in sport. 38 We did not create them except in Truth. But most of them do not know. 39 The Day of Decision is the appointed time for all. 40 The day when friend will help no friend in the least, nor will they be helped, 41 save those to whom God shows mercy. Surely, He is the Mighty, the Merciful One. 42
