Seest thou one who turns back, 33 And gave a little and [then] refrained? 34 What! Has he knowledge of the Unseen so that he can see? 35 Or, has he not been informed of what is in the scriptures of Musa? 36 And of Ibrahim (Abraham) who fulfilled (or conveyed) all that (what Allah ordered him to do or convey), 37 That no soul laden bears the load of another, 38 And that man hath only that for which he maketh effort, 39 He will certainly see the result of his labor 40 Then will he be rewarded with a reward complete; 41 And that thy Lord, He is the goal; 42 That it is He who makes you happy and morose, 43 That it is He Who granteth Death and Life; 44 and that it is He who created pairs, the male and the female, 45 From seed when it is emitted. 46 and that [therefore] it is within His power to bring about a second life; 47 that He it is Who bestowed wealth and riches, 48 That He is the Lord of Sirius (the Mighty Star); 49 And that He did destroy the Ad of old 50 and Thamood, sparing no one, 51 And the people of Nuh before; surely they were most unjust and inordinate; 52 And Al-Mu'tafikah He destroyed 53 So there covered them that which did cover (i.e. torment with stones). 54 On which then of your Lord's signs do you cast doubt? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 that [Last Hour] which is so near draws ever nearer, 57 None besides Allah can avert it, (or advance it, or delay it). 58 At this discourse then marvel ye? 59 And keep laughing and do not weep, 60 Will you remain proudly heedless? 61 Therefore prostrate for Allah, and worship Him. (Command of Prostration # 12) ۩ 62
