The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By oath of those who harshly pull out the soul. (Of the disbeliever) 1 And [by] those who remove with ease 2 And by those who glide along (on errands of mercy), 3 and yet overtake [one another] with swift overtaking: 4 by those that direct an affair! 5 On the day when the first trump resoundeth. 6 And the following event will come after it. 7 hearts will throb on that Day 8 Eyes be lowered in submission. 9 They say: "Shall we go back to our original state 10 Even if we should be decayed bones? 11 They have said, "Such a resurrection will certainly be a great loss". 12 It will only be a single blast, 13 And lo! they all shall appear on the surface. 14 Hath there come unto thee the story of Musa! 15 His Lord called to him in the Sacred Valley of Towa, 16 Saying: go thou unto Fir'awn; verily he hath waxen exorbitant. 17 Then say thou: wouldst thou to be purified? 18 And let me guide you to your Lord so you would fear [Him]?'" 19 Moses showed him the great miracle 20 but he denied it and refused [the faith]. 21 Then he turned his back, striving hard (against Allah). 22 And assembled (his council) and proclaimed, 23 and said, "I am your Lord All-Highest!" 24 So Allah seized him with the punishment of the Everlasting Life, and of this world. 25 Verily herein is lesson for him who feareth. 26
