The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the heaven and the night-comer 1 what do you know what the night-visitor is? 2 It is the piercing star - 3 There is no soul but that it has over it a protector. 4 So man must consider from what he has been created. 5 He was created from spurting fluid, 6 emanating from between the loins and the ribs. 7 Lo! He verily is Able to return him (unto life) 8 The Day when secrets will be put on trial, 9 Then will he have no might nor any helper. 10 By the sky (having rain clouds) which gives rain, again and again. 11 by earth splitting with verdure, 12 It is surely a decisive utterance; 13 and is not to be taken lightly. 14 They are devising guile, 15 But I am planning a plan. 16 So give a respite to the disbelievers. Deal you gently with them for a while. 17
God the Almighty always says the truth.
