The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)

In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate

By the snorting chargers, 1 And strike sparks of fire, 2 And the chargers at dawn, 3 blazing a trail of dust, 4 Then rush thereby upon an assembly: 5 Lo! man is an ingrate unto his Lord 6 And indeed, he is to that a witness. 7 And is intractable in his love of worldly goods. 8 ۞ Knows he not that when that which is in the tombs is over-thrown, 9 And all what lies in the breasts is opened – 10 Surely on that Day will their Lord be fully informed about them. 11

True are the words of God the Almighty.
