۞ Lo! Allah enjoineth justice and kindness, and giving to kinsfolk, and forbiddeth lewdness and abomination and wickedness. He exhorteth you in order that ye may take heed. 90 And fulfil the covenant of Allah when you have made the promise, and do not break your oaths after ratifying them, and you have made Allah a Guarantor over you; indeed Allah knows your deeds. 91 Do not, like the woman who unravels her yarn after its strands have been firmly spun, use your oaths as a means of deceiving one another, just because one community could become bigger than another. God is only testing you by means of this. On the Day of Resurrection He will make it clear to you what you differed about. 92 And if Allah had willed, He could have made you [of] one religion, but He causes to stray whom He wills and guides whom He wills. And you will surely be questioned about what you used to do. 93 Make not your oaths a deceit between you, lest a foot should slip after being firmly planted and ye should taste evil forasmuch as ye debarred (men) from the way of Allah, and yours should be an awful doom. 94 And do not exchange the covenant of Allah for a small price. Indeed, what is with Allah is best for you, if only you could know. 95 Whatever you have is bound to pass away and whatever is with Allah will last. And We shall surely grant those who have been patient their reward according to the best of what they did. 96 For whosoever does a righteous deed, be they believing men or women, We shall recompense them with their wage according to the best of their deeds. 97 And when thou recitest the Qur'an, seek refuge in Allah from Satan the outcast. 98 Verily! He has no power over those who believe and put their trust only in their Lord (Allah). 99 His authority is only over those who befriend him and those who associate others with Him. 100
