And We verily gave grace unto Moses and Aaron, 114 and We delivered them and their people from the great distress. 115 And We succoured them so that they became overcomers. 116 We gave them the explicit Book, 117 and guided them to the straight path; 118 and perpetuated their praise in later generations. 119 "Peace be upon Moses and Aaron!" 120 This is how We reward those who do good: 121 Verily! They were two of Our believing slaves. 122 And Ilyas was most surely of the apostles. 123 (Call to mind) when he said to his people: “Will you not fear Allah? 124 Do you call on Ba'lan (the idol Baal) and abandon the Best Creator, 125 Allah, your Lord and Lord of your forefathers? 126 In response they denied him, so they will surely be brought forth as captives. 127 except the sincere servants of God. 128 We perpetuated his praise in the later generations. 129 "Peace be on Elijah and his people!" 130 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers, who perform good deeds totally for Allah's sake only - see V. 2:112). 131 He was one of Our believing servants. 132 Verily Lot was one of the apostles, 133 Wherefore We saved him and his entire family 134 Except an old woman who was one of those who stayed behind. 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 You pass by (their habitations) in the morning 137 And at night. Will ye not therefore reflect? 138
