Kingship (Al-Mulk)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ HALLOWED be He in whose hand all dominion rests, since He has the power to will anything: 1 The One Who created death and life to test you – who among you has the better deeds; and He only is the Most Honourable, the Oft Forgiving. 2 He created seven heavens one above the other in layers. You will not find any flaw in the creation of the Gracious One. Then look once again: can you see any flaw? 3 Then look again and yet again, thy sight will return unto thee weakened and made dim. 4 And We adorned the lower heaven with lamps, and made them things to stone Satans; and We have prepared for them the chastisement of the Blaze. 5 And for those who disbelieve in their Lord there awaits the chastisement of Gehenna -- an evil homecoming! 6 When they are thrown into it, they hear from it a [dreadful] inhaling while it boils up. 7 Almost bursting with fury: Every time a Group is cast therein, its Keepers will ask, "Did no Warner come to you?" 8 They shall say: Yea! indeed there came to us a warner, but we rejected (him) and said: Allah has not revealed anything, you are only in a great error. 9 They will further say: "Had we but listened or used our intelligence, we should not (now) be among the Companions of the Blazing Fire!" 10 So they acknowledge their sins; but far removed (from mercy) are the dwellers in the flames. 11 Those who fear their Lord in secret will receive forgiveness and a great reward. 12 And conceal your word or manifest it; surely He is Cognizant of what is in the hearts. 13 Should He not know what He created? And He is the Subtile, the Aware. 14
