The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Quraish (Quraish) before Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

OH, the sudden calamity! 1 What is the event that terrifies the hearts? 2 How will you comprehend what the startling calamity is? -- 3 It is the Day when people will be like moths, dispersed, 4 And the mountains will become as carded wool. 5 Then as for him whose balances are heavy, 6 shall live in a life which is pleasing, 7 but he whose scales weigh lighter, 8 his shall be the deep pit for a dwelling. 9 And what will explain to thee what this is? 10 A flaming fire! 11
