Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Gross rivalry diverts you, 1 Until you visit the graves (i.e. till you die). 2 But nay, ye soon shall know (the reality). 3 nay, again, you shall soon come to know. 4 No! If you only knew with knowledge of certainty... 5 For ye will behold hell-fire. 6 Aye, ye will behold it with sure vision. 7 Then, shall ye be questioned that Day about the joy (ye indulged in!). 8

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
