Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the (Winds) sent forth one after another (to man's profit); 1 And by the winds that blow violently, 2 and the rain-spreading winds, 3 And those [angels] who bring criterion 4 and then cast (Allah's) remembrance (in people's hearts), 5 to provide excuses for some and to give warnings to others: 6 that whatever with which you have been warned will inevitably come to pass. 7 When the stars shall be extinguished, 8 when heaven shall be split 9 And when the mountains are blown away 10 And when the Messengers are gathered to their time appointed; 11 to what day shall they be deferred? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what will make you comprehend what the day of decision is? 14 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 15 Did We not destroy many a nation of the earlier times? 16 And We shall let them be followed by those of later times: 17 Thus deal We ever with the guilty. 18 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 then placed it in a secure repository [the womb], 21 for an appointed term? 22 We determined, how excellent a Determiner are We! 23 Woe, on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 24 Have We not caused the earth to hold within itself 25 the living and the dead? 26 Set We not therein soaring mountains? Sated you with sweetest water? 27 On that Day (of Judgment) woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 28 Depart to that which you belied! 29 Go on towards the threefold shadow 30 that will offer no [cooling] shade and will be of no avail against the flame 31 Verily it shall cast forth sparks like unto a castle. 32 which seem as though they are yellow-coloured camels. 33 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 34 This is a Day whereon they shall not be able to speak. 35 Nor given leave to make excuses. 36 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 37 That is the Day of Judgement on which We have assembled you as well as all those who went before you. 38 So if you have any plot to devise against Me, then devise it. 39 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 40
