Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the racers, panting, 1 Striking sparks of fire (by their hooves), 2 And scouring to the raid at dawn 3 Stirring up thereby [clouds of] dust, 4 cleaving there with a host! 5 VERILY, towards his Sustainer man is most ungrateful 6 and surely he is a witness against that! 7 And indeed he loves wealth to the extreme. 8 ۞ Knoweth he not - when that which is in the graves shall be ransacked? 9 and the secrets of the hearts are laid bare (and examined)? 10 Verily their Lord on that Day will be of them Aware. 11
True are the words of God the Almighty.
