Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful

Perdition overtake both hands of Abu Lahab, and he will perish. 1 Of no avail shall be his wealth, nor what he has acquired. 2 he shall roast at a Flaming Fire, 3 And his wife, the portress of fire wood, 4 On her neck shall be a cord of twisted fibre. 5

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
