Al-Dukhaan 2 of 3
And We delivered the Children of Israel from the shameful doom; 30 From Fir'aun (Pharaoh); Verily! He was arrogant and was of the Musrifun (those who transgress beyond bound in spending and other things and commit great sins). 31 We knowingly chose them above all other people 32 And We gave them of signs that in which there was a clear trial. 33 Yet those who deny the truth say, 34 "There is no dying for us but once; and we shall not be raised again. 35 So bring our fathers (back), if you are truthful. 36 Are they better than the tribe of Tubba (name of a Yemenite tribal chief) and those who lived before them? We destroyed them. They were criminals. 37 And We did not create the heavens and earth and that between them in play. 38 We created them not save in truth; but most of them know it not. 39 The Day of Final Decision is the appointed time for all; 40 (when wrong will be distinguished from right). On this day friends will be of no benefit to one another, nor will they receive any help 41 Except those upon whom Allah has mercy; indeed He only is the Most Honourable, the Most Merciful. 42
