Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ When the heavens are rent asunder, 1 And when the stars have fallen and scattered; 2 When the Oceans are suffered to burst forth; 3 And when the [contents of] graves are scattered, 4 then a soul shall know its works, the former and the latter. 5 Human being, what evil has deceived you about your Gracious Lord, 6 who has created thee, and formed thee in accordance with what thou art meant' to be, and shaped thy nature in just proportions, 7 in whatever composition He wanted. 8 Even then you deny the Judgement. 9 but you should know that there are angelic guards 10 watching over you 11 Who know what you do. 12 Indeed the virtuous are in serenity. 13 and the libertines shall be in a fiery furnace 14 which they shall enter on the Day of Judgement, 15 to burn therein. 16 And what do you know – of what sort is the Day of Justice! 17 Again, what will make you realize what the day of judgment is? 18 (It will be) the Day when no person shall have power (to do) anything for another, and the Decision, that Day, will be (wholly) with Allah. 19
