The Statute Book (Al-Furqaan)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Blessed is He who has revealed the criteria (for discerning truth from falsehood) to His servant so that He could warn mankind. 1 He, Whose is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth, and Who did not take to Himself a son, and Who has no associate in the kingdom, and Who created everything, then ordained for it a measure. 2 Yet they choose apart from Him gods who have not created any thing and have themselves been created, who possess no power over their loss or gain, or their death or life or being raised to life again. 3 And those who disbelieve say: this is naught but a falsehood that he hath fabricated and there have assisted him therein other people; so surely they have aimed at a wrong and a fraud. 4 And they say, "Legends of the former peoples which he has written down, and they are dictated to him morning and afternoon." 5 Say: "He who knows the secrets of the heavens and the earth has revealed it to me; and He is surely forgiving and kind." 6 And they said, “What is the matter with this (Noble) Messenger, that he eats food and walks in the markets? Why was not an angel sent down along with him, to give warning along with him?” 7 Or [why is not] a treasure presented to him [from heaven], or does he [not] have a garden from which he eats?" And the wrongdoers say, "You follow not but a man affected by magic." 8 O dear Prophet (Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) see how they invent examples for you – they have therefore gone astray, unable find a road. 9
