We built the universe with Our might, giving it its vast expanse. 47 And the earth! We have stretched it forth beneath; an excellent Spreader are We! 48 and We created pairs of all things so that you might reflect. 49 (Muhammad), tell them,"Seek refuge in God. I have been sent from Him to plainly warn you. 50 And do not set up with Allah another god: surely I am a plain warner to you from Him. 51 Thus has it been (in the past): never did a Messenger come to the nations that preceded them but they said: “(He is) a sorcerer, or a mad-man.” 52 Is this the legacy they have passed down from one to the other? In fact, they are a rebellious people. 53 So withdraw from them (O Muhammad), for thou art in no wise blameworthy, 54 And remind; the Reminder profits the believers. 55 And I did not create the jinn and mankind except to worship Me. 56 [But withal,] no sustenance do I ever demand of them, nor do I demand that they feed Me: 57 Indeed, it is Allah who is the [continual] Provider, the firm possessor of strength. 58 For the Wrong-doers, their portion is like unto the portion of their fellows (of earlier generations): then let them not ask Me to hasten (that portion)! 59 Woe then to the unbelievers for their Day which they were promised! 60
