Did you (O Muhammad SAW) observe him who turned away (from Islam). 33 And he gave a little, then refrained? 34 Or, does he possess knowledge of the Unseen, and can therefore see? 35 Has he not heard what is contained in the Book of Moses, 36 And [of] Abraham, who fulfilled [his obligations] - 37 That no soul shall bear another's burden, 38 And that man hath only that for which he maketh effort, 39 And that his effort will soon be scrutinised? 40 Then he will be recompensed for it with the fullest recompense 41 And that thy Lord, He is the goal; 42 And that it is He (Allah) Who makes (whom He wills) laugh, and makes (whom He wills) weep; 43 And that it is He who causes death and gives life 44 And that it is He Who has created the two pairs, male and female? 45 from an ejected drop of sperm; 46 And that He hath ordained the second bringing forth; 47 That it is He who makes you rich and contented; 48 that He is the Lord of Sirius, 49 And that He destroyed the former (tribe of) A'ad, 50 and Thamood, sparing no one, 51 as well as the people of Noah before them - [since,] verily, they all had been most willful in their evildoing and most overweening 52 and He overthrew the subverted cities [of Sodom and Gomorrah] 53 Then covered them with that which covered them. 54 About which of the bounties of your Lord can they persistently dispute? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 The Imminent is near at hand; 57 and none but Allah can avert it. 58 Will you, then, wonder at this? 59 and do they laugh instead of weeping, 60 While ye amuse yourselves? 61 So prostrate yourselves before God and worship him. ۩ 62
