Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ When the heavens are rent asunder, 1 When the planets are dispersed, 2 And when the seas are flowed out, 3 and when the graves are laid open: 4 everyone shall know all his deeds, both the earlier and the later. 5 O Man! What deceived thee as to thy generous Lord 6 who has created thee, and formed thee in accordance with what thou art meant' to be, and shaped thy nature in just proportions, 7 having put thee together in whatever form He willed [thee to have]? 8 Even then you deny the Judgement. 9 Surely there are guardians over you, 10 Kind and honourable,- Writing down (your deeds): 11 Who know what you do. 12 Surely the pious shall be in bliss, 13 And the Wicked - they will be in the Fire, 14 They shall enter it on the Day of Recompense 15 And never therefrom will they be absent. 16 And what will make you realize what the day of judgment is? 17 Again, what will make you realize what the day of judgment is? 18 [It will be] a Day when no human being shall be of the least avail to another human being: for on that Day [it will become manifest that] all sovereignty is God's alone. 19
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
