Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

The desire to have more of the worldly gains have pre-occupied you so much (that you have neglected remembring God), 1 Until you visit the graveyards. 2 No indeed; but soon you shall know. 3 But you will soon come to know. 4 Indeed, were you to know the truth with certainty, 5 You should most certainly have seen the hell; 6 Again, you shall surely see it with the eye of certainty 7 Then, on that day, ye will be asked concerning pleasure. 8

God the Almighty always says the truth.
