Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Destroyed were the hands of Abu Lahab, and he lay utterly doomed. 1 His wealth and gains will not exempt him. 2 [In the life to come] he shall have to endure a fire fiercely glowing; 3 and so too will his wife who (threw thorns and firewood in the Prophet's way). 4 Will have upon her neck a halter of palm-fibre. 5

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
