Messengers! Partake of the things that are clean, and act righteously. I know well all that you do. 51 And verily! This your religion (of Islamic Monotheism) is one religion, and I am your Lord, so keep your duty to Me. 52 Yet they have split their affairs between themselves into sects, each rejoicing in what it has. 53 Leave them in their perplexity for a time. 54 Do they think that by increasing their wealth and children 55 We hasten in good works for them? No, they are not aware. 56 Those who tremble with fear of their Lord; 57 and those who believe in the signs of their Lord 58 and who do not ascribe divinity to aught but their Sustainer, 59 And those who give whatsoever they give, while their hearts are anxious that unto their Lord they are to be returners. 60 it is they who vie with one another in doing good works and shall be the foremost in doing so. 61 We do not burden a soul beyond capacity, for We have a record that tells the truth. No wrong will be done to any one. 62 But their hearts are in confused ignorance of this; and there are, besides that, deeds of theirs, which they will (continue) to do,- 63 Until, when We grasp those of them who lead a luxurious life with punishment, behold! They make humble invocation with a loud voice. 64 'Groan not today; surely you shall not be helped from Us. 65 My communications were indeed recited to you, but you used to turn back on your heels, 66 being proud against it, talking foolishness by night. 67 Pondered they not over the Word? or came there unto them that which came not unto their fathers ancient? 68 Or did they not know their Messenger, so they are toward him disacknowledging? 69 Or do they say: There is madness in him? Nay! he has brought them the truth, and most of them are averse from the truth. 70 And should the truth follow their low desires, surely the heavens and the earth and all those who are therein would have perished. Nay! We have brought to them their reminder, but from their reminder they turn aside. 71 Or dost thou ask of them (O Muhammad) any tribute? But the bounty of thy Lord is better, for He is Best of all who make provision. 72 And indeed, you invite them to a straight path. 73 but, behold, those who will not believe in the life to come are bound to deviate from that way. 74 ۞ Though We had mercy on them and relieved them of the harm afflicting them, they still would wander blindly on in their contumacy. 75 And assuredly We took hold of them with the torment, yet they humbled not themselves to their Lord, nor did they entreat. 76 Until, when We open for them the gate of extreme punishment, behold! they are aghast thereat. 77
