Kneeling (Al-Jaatheyah)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Ha, Meem. 1 The revelation of the Scripture is from Allah, the Mighty, the Wise. 2 Lo! in the heavens and the earth are portents for believers. 3 In your creation and in that of the beasts living on earth there is evidence of the Truth for the people who have strong faith. 4 And in the alternation of night and day and that which Allah sendeth down of provision from the heaven and thereby quickeneth the earth after the death thereof and the turning about of the winds, are signs unto a people who reflect. 5 These messages of God do We convey unto thee, setting forth the truth. In what other tiding, if not in God's messages, will they, then, believe? 6 Woe unto every sinful self-deceiver 7 Who heareth the revelations of Allah recited unto him, and then continueth in pride as though he heard them not. Give him tidings of a painful doom. 8 for when he does become aware of any of Our messages, he makes them a target of his mockery! For all such there is shameful suffering in store. 9 Before them is Hell; naught will avail them of that which they earned, nor those whom they took for patrons beside Allah. Theirs shall be a torment mighty. 10 Such is Our guidance; those who reject their Lord's revelations shall suffer a woeful punishment. 11
