The Comet (Al-Taareq)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the sky and the night comer - 1 And have you understood what the nightly arriver is? 2 It is the star shining brightly. 3 There is no human being but has a protector over him (or her) (i.e. angels incharge of each human being guarding him, writing his good and bad deeds, etc.) 4 So let man consider of what he was created. 5 He was created from ejaculated water 6 Proceeding from between the back-bone and the ribs, 7 Surely He (the Creator) has the power to bring him back (to life). 8 On the day when hidden things shall be made manifest, 9 Then will (man) have no power, nor any helper. 10 By the heaven which giveth the returning rain, 11 And by the Earth which opens out (for the gushing of springs or the sprouting of vegetation),- 12 Indeed the Qur’an is a decisive Word. 13 And it is no joke. 14 Verily, they are but plotting a plot (against you O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)). 15 And I am plotting a plot. 16 So allow time for the disbelievers. Leave them awhile. 17
