And when thy Lord called to Moses, 'Go to the people of the evildoers, 10 the people of Pharaoh: do they have no fear?" 11 He said, "My Lord, indeed I fear that they will deny me 12 And I shall be embarrassed, and my tongue will not speak plainly, therefor send for Aaron (to help me). 13 "And (further), they have a charge of crime against me; and I fear they may slay me." 14 He said: Nay, verily. So go ye twain with Our tokens. Lo! We shall be with you, Hearing. 15 Go, then, to Pharaoh and say to him: 'The Lord of the Universe has sent us 16 "'Send thou with us the Children of Israel.'" 17 Pharaoh said to Moses, "Did we not bring you up among us as a child? And you spent several years of your life with us. 18 and you did the deed which you did. You are certainly ungrateful." 19 [Moses] said, "I did it, then, while I was of those astray. 20 I fled from you because I feared you. But my Lord has given me judgment and made me one of the Messengers. 21 And this is the favour with which you taunt me -- that you have enslaved the Children of Israel?" 22 Pharaoh said: 'And what is the Lord of the Worlds' 23 'He' (Moses) replied: 'is the Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, if you believe' 24 'Do you not hear' said he (Pharaoh) to those around him. 25 Moses went on, "He is your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers." 26 Said Firaun, “This (Noble) Messenger of yours, who has been sent towards you, has no intelligence!” 27 Moses continued: "(He is) the Lord of the east and the west, and all between them. If you only had any understanding!" 28 Fir'awn said: if thou wilt take a god other than me, I shall surely place thee among the prisoners. 29 He said: What! even if I bring to you something manifest? 30 [Pharaoh] said, "Then bring it, if you should be of the truthful." 31 (No sooner had he said this than) Moses threw down his rod and behold, it was a veritable serpent, 32 And he drew out his hand, and behold, it was white to all beholders! 33
