3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
Noah cried to Us, and how excellent was Our response! 75 And We saved him and his family from the great affliction. 76 And, his progeny, them We made the survivors (i.e. Shem, Ham and Japheth). 77 We perpetuated his praise in later generations. 78 Peace be with Noah among all men in the worlds. 79 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 80 Surely he was one of Our truly believing servants. 81 We then drowned the others. 82 ۞ Abraham was on the self-same way (as Noah). 83 When he came to his Lord with a sound heart 84 When he said to his father and his people: What is it that you worship? 85 Is it a falsehood - gods beside Allah - that ye desire? 86 “So what do you assume regarding the Lord Of The Creation?” (That He will not punish you?) 87 He cast a glance at the stars 88 And said, "I am sick," 89 But they turned their backs on him and went away. 90 He turned to their gods and said, "Do you not eat? 91 “What is the matter with you, that you do not say anything?” 92 Then he attacked them, striking with his right hand. 93 So the disbelievers came running towards him. 94 but he said, "How can you worship things you carve with your own hands, 95 “Whereas Allah has created you and your actions?” 96 They said: "Build for him a building (it is said that the building was like a furnace) and throw him into the blazing fire!" 97 And they devised a plot for him, but We made them the humble. 98 And he said: Surely I fly to my lord; He will guide me. 99 “My Lord! Give me a meritorious child.” 100 Then We gave him the good tidings of a prudent boy; 101 Then, when (the son) reached (the age of) (serious) work with him, he said: "O my son! I see in vision that I offer thee in sacrifice: Now see what is thy view!" (The son) said: "O my father! Do as thou art commanded: thou will find me, if Allah so wills one practising Patience and Constancy!" 102 When they had both submitted to God, and he had laid his son down on his face, 103 We called unto him, 'Abraham, 104 “You have indeed made the dream come true”; and this is how We reward the virtuous. 105 It was certainly an open trial. 106 So, We ransomed him with a mighty sacrifice, 107 And We left for him [favorable mention] among later generations: 108 Peace be unto Abraham! 109 Thus do We reward the good. 110 He was one of Our believing worshipers. 111 And We gave him the glad tidings of Is-haq, a prophet, and of the righteous. 112 We blessed him and Isaac: but of their progeny are (some) that do right, and (some) that obviously do wrong, to their own souls. 113
