So is one whose breast Allah has expanded to [accept] Islam and he is upon a light from his Lord [like one whose heart rejects it]? Then woe to those whose hearts are hardened against the remembrance of Allah. Those are in manifest error. 22 Allah has sent down the best statement: a consistent Book wherein is reiteration. The skins shiver therefrom of those who fear their Lord; then their skins and their hearts relax at the remembrance of Allah. That is the guidance of Allah by which He guides whom He wills. And one whom Allah leaves astray - for him there is no guide. 23 Is he, then, who will shield himself with his face from the evil of torment on the Day of Resurrection be as he who is secure therefrom? And it shall be said unto the wrong-doers: taste ye that which ye have been earning. 24 Those who went before them also belied, then Our punishment overtook them from where they were unaware; 25 So Allah made them taste degradation in the life of this world, and certainly the chastisement of the Hereafter will be much more grievous. Would that they knew! 26 And assuredly We have propounded for mankind in this Qur'an all kinds of similitudes, that haply they may be admonished. 27 The Qur’an in Arabic, having no deviation at all, so that they may be pious. 28 Allah presents an example: a slave owned by quarreling partners and another belonging exclusively to one man - are they equal in comparison? Praise be to Allah! But most of them do not know. 29 Truly thou wilt die (one day), and truly they (too) will die (one day). 30 In the end will ye (all), on the Day of Judgment, settle your disputes in the presence of your Lord. 31
