The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
When the sun is wrapped up [in darkness] 1 when the stars shall scatter away, 2 And when the mountains are driven. 3 And when milch camels roam abandoned. 4 the wild beasts are herded together, 5 And when the seas rise, 6 when the souls shall be rejoined (with their bodies), 7 And the little girl buried alive is asked 8 For what sin she was slain, 9 And when the Writs shall be lain open, 10 And when the heaven is torn away. 11 and when Hell is set ablaze, 12 And when Paradise is brought near. 13 (Then) shall each soul know what it has put forward. 14 So by oath of those that revolve. (The planets.) 15 The planets withdrawing into themselves, 16 The closing night, 17 And the Dawn as it breathes away the darkness;- 18 Truly, this is the word brought by a noble messenger, 19 having power, with the Lord of the Throne secure, 20 Obeyed there [in the heavens] and trustworthy. 21 Nor is your companion distracted. 22 And indeed he (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) saw him [Jibrael (Gabriel)] in the clear horizon (towards the east). 23 He (Muhammad) is not accused of lying about the unseen. 24 The Quran is not the word of condemned satan. 25 Whither then go ye? 26 This is naught but an admonition unto the worlds 27 Unto whomsoever of you willeth to walk straight. 28 And you do not will except that Allah wills - Lord of the worlds. 29
