Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ When the heaven is cleft asunder. 1 And when the stars fall down. 2 when the oceans are gushed forth, 3 And when the Graves are turned upside down;- 4 everyone shall know all his deeds, both the earlier and the later. 5 O man! What has seduced thee from thy Lord Most Beneficent?- 6 who created you, formed you and proportioned you? 7 in whatever form He pleased? 8 Nay! but you give the lie to the judgment day, 9 you do so the while there are watchers over you; 10 Noble and recording; 11 They know what you do. 12 Indeed the virtuous are in serenity. 13 And indeed, the wicked will be in Hellfire. 14 which they will enter on the Day of Judgment 15 And they (Al-Fujjar) will not be absent therefrom (i.e. will not go out from the Hell). 16 And what shall teach thee what is the Day of Doom? 17 Again, what will convey unto thee what the Day of Judgment is! 18 It is the Day when no one shall have the power to do anything for another, and all command shall be Allah's. 19
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
