Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Hath there come unto thee tidings of the Overwhelming? 1 Many a face will be disgraced on that day. 2 be toiling and worn-out; 3 (Yet) Going into the blazing fire. 4 They will be given drink from a boiling spring. 5 They shall have no food but of thorns, 6 Which neither nourishes nor avails against hunger. 7 In that day other faces will be calm, 8 Rejoicing over their efforts. 9 They shall be in a Garden lofty: 10 Where they shall neither hear harmful speech nor falsehood, 11 Wherein is a gushing spring, 12 Therein shall be couches elevated! 13 Goblets set, 14 and cushions arrayed 15 And carpets ready spread, 16 Do they never reflect on the camels and how they were created, 17 And at the sky - how it is raised? 18 and how the mountains were firmly fixed? 19 And the earth, how it is spread? 20 So render good counsel, for you are simply required to counsel, 21 You are not over them a controller. 22 As for those who turn their back and disbelieve, 23 Then Allah will punish him with the greatest punishment. 24 Verily, to Us will be their return; 25 Then surely upon Us is the taking of their account. 26
Almighty Allah's Truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
