The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the forenoon (after sun-rise); 1 and by the night when it darkens, 2 Your Lord has not forsaken you, nor has He become displeased, 3 And verily the Hereafter will be better for thee than the present. 4 And presently thy Lord shall give unto thee so that thou shalt be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and give you shelter? 6 Did He not find thee erring, and guide thee? 7 And found thee in want, and given thee sufficiency? 8 As for the orphan, do not oppress him, 9 And do not rebuke the beggar. 10 But tell of the favors of your Lord! 11
