And if they deny you, [O Muhammad], then say, "For me are my deeds, and for you are your deeds. You are disassociated from what I do, and I am disassociated from what you do." 41 And some of them give ear to thee; what, wilt thou make the deaf to hear, though they understand not? 42 Some of them look toward you: But can you show the blind the way even when they cannot see? 43 Surely Allah does not do any injustice to men, but men are unjust to themselves. 44 And on the day when He will raise all of them together, as if they had never stayed on earth except for a moment during the day, they will recognise one another; for completely ruined are those who denied the meeting with Allah and were not on guidance. 45 Whether We show thee (realised in thy life-time) some part of what We promise them,- or We take thy soul (to Our Mercy) (Before that),- in any case, to Us is their return: ultimately Allah is witness, to all that they do. 46 Every nation has its Messenger; then, when their Messenger comes, justly the issue is decided between them, and they are not wronged. 47 They say: "When will this promise come to pass,- if ye speak the truth?" 48 Say: "I have no power over any harm or profit to myself except as Allah willeth. To every people is a term appointed: when their term is reached, not an hour can they cause delay, nor (an hour) can they advance (it in anticipation)." 49 Say: "Do ye see,- if His punishment should come to you by night or by day,- what portion of it would the sinners wish to hasten? 50 Will you, then, believe in it [only] after it has come to pass - [on the Day when you will be asked, 'Do you believe in it] now, after having [contemptuously] called for its speedy advent?' 51 Then it shall be said to those who were unjust: Taste abiding chastisement; you are not requited except for what you earned. 52 They ask you if what you say is true? Tell them: 'Yes, by my Lord, this is altogether true, and you have no power to prevent the chastisement from befalling.' 53
