The people of Al-Hijr denied Our apostles; 80 We also gave them Our Signs, yet they turned away from them. 81 They used to hew out houses from the mountains and lived in security. 82 Then the Blast caught them in the morning 83 and of no avail to them was all [the power] that they had acquired. 84 AND [remember:] We have not created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them without [an inner] truth; but, behold, the Hour [when this will become clear to all] is indeed yet to come. Hence, forgive [men's failings] with fair forbearance: 85 Lo! Thy Lord! He is the All-Wise Creator. 86 We have given thee seven of the oft-repeated, and the mighty Koran. 87 Cast not thine eyes toward that which We have let classes of them to enjoy; and grieve not over them, and lower thy wing unto the believers. 88 And say: Surely I am the plain warner. 89 Such as We send down for those who make division, 90 Those who made the Quran into shreds. 91 So, by your Lord, We would most certainly question them all, 92 for what they have done 93 Therefore publicly announce what you are commanded, and turn away from the polytheists. 94 Indeed We suffice you against these mockers. 95 Who place other gods besides God. They will come to know soon. 96 Well know We that thy bosom is oppressed by what they say, 97 But celebrate the praises of thy Lord, and be of those who prostrate themselves in adoration. 98 And serve thy Lord until there come unto thee the Hour that is Certain. 99
