Hizb 46

So also was Jonah among those sent (by Us). 139 He ran away to the laden ship, 140 Then he joined the lots, and was of the condemned. 141 Then the fish swallowed him, while he was blameworthy. 142 Had it not been that he (repented and) glorified Allah, 143 He would certainly have tarried in its belly to the day when they are raised. 144 ۞ Then We cast him on a bare desert whilst he was sick. 145 and We caused a pumpkin tree to grow over him. 146 And We sent him to a hundred thousand, rather they exceeded. 147 And they believed, whrefore We let them enjoy life for a season. 148 Therefore ask them (O dear Prophet Mohammed peace and blessings be upon him), whether the daughters are for your Lord and the sons for them! 149 Or created We the angels females while they were present? 150 Behold, it is one of their fabrications that they say: 151 "God has begotten (children)?" They are liars indeed! 152 Has He chosen daughters in preference to sons? 153 What ails you that you judge in such a wise? 154 What, will you not remember? 155 Or have you a clear authority? 156 Produce, then, that divine writ of yours, if you are speaking the truth! 157 They have said that there is a relationship between Him and the jinn. The jinn certainly know that they will all be brought to suffer torment. 158 Glory be to Allah (for freedom) from what they describe; 159 But not so the servants of Allah, the purified ones. 160 So neither you nor those you worship 161 can lure away from God any 162 except those who are doomed to enter hell. 163 The angels say, "Each of us has an appointed place. 164 "And we are verily ranged in ranks (for service); 165 Verily, we (angels), we are they who glorify (Allah's Praises i.e. perform prayers). 166 What though they would say, 167 If we had but a reminder from the men of old 168 we would certainly be true servants of God." 169 But they disbelieved in it; soon they shall know! 170 And verily Our word went forth of old unto Our bondmen sent (to warn) 171 That they would certainly be assisted, 172 And that Our hosts, they verily would be the victors. 173 So turn thou aside from them for a season. 174 and watch them. They, too, will watch. 175 So are they being impatient for Our punishment? 176 But when it descends in their territory, then evil is the morning of those who were warned. 177 So turn thou from them for a while, 178 And see thou: they themselves shall presently see. 179 Glorified be thy Lord, the Lord of Majesty, from that which they attribute (unto Him) 180 Peace be on the Messengers. 181 and praise be to God, the Lord of all the Worlds. 182
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
