Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the winds (or angels or the Messengers of Allah) sent forth one after another. 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 And by the winds that scatter clouds and rain; 3 then the criterion (the verses of Koran), separating 4 and those hurling a reminder 5 To complete the argument or to warn. 6 Indeed, what you are promised is to occur. 7 When the stars lose their light, 8 And when the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 And when the mountains are carried away as dust, 10 And when the messengers are (all) appointed a time (to collect);- 11 To which Day has this task been deferred? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what can make you know what is the Day of Judgement? 14 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 15 Did We not destroy the men of old (for their evil)? 16 and let the latter follow them? 17 [for] thus do We deal with such as are lost in sin. 18 On that day, woe upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 19 Did We not create you of a mean water, 20 which We then let remain in [the womb's] firm keeping 21 For a known calculated term. 22 We then calculated; so how excellently do We control! 23 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected the revelations of God! 24 Have We not made the earth a housing 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 and have We not set on it proud, firm mountains, and given you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 28 Depart to that you cried was lies! 29 Depart into the shadow of three masses, 30 "(Which yields) no shade of coolness, and is of no use against the fierce Blaze. 31 The fire will shoot out sparks as big as huge towers 32 and yellow camels. 33 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 34 That will be a Day when they shall not speak (during some part of it), 35 Nor given leave to make excuses. 36 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have assembled both ye and the ancients. 38 If now you have any strategy, use it against Me. 39 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 40
