Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the (Steeds) that run, with panting (breath), 1 Then those that produce fire striking, 2 by the dawnraiders, 3 And therein raising dust. 4 cleaving there with a host! 5 Truly man is, to his Lord, ungrateful; 6 And to that (fact) he bears witness (by his deeds); 7 And indeed he is, in love of wealth, intense. 8 ۞ Knoweth he not - when that which is in the graves shall be ransacked? 9 And all what lies in the breasts is opened – 10 Verily, that Day (i.e. the Day of Resurrection) their Lord will be Well-Acquainted with them (as to their deeds), (and will reward them for their deeds). 11
