Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

DESTROYED WILL BE the hands of Abu Lahab, and he himself will perish. 1 His wealth avails him not, neither what he has earned; 2 Anon he shall roast into Fire having flame. 3 along with his wife, that carrier of slanderous tales; 4 Upon her neck a halter of strongly twisted rope. 5
