Hizb 46
< random >
So also was Jonah among those sent (by Us). 139 He abandoned his people 140 So he shared (with them), but was of those who are cast off. 141 Then the fish swallowed him, while he was blameworthy. 142 But had it not been that he was of those who glorify (Us), 143 he would have lingered in its belly till the Day they are resurrected. 144 ۞ But We cast him, upon the shore, and he was ill, 145 And We caused to grow over him a gourd vine. 146 And We sent him towards a hundred thousand people, in fact more. 147 And they believed, so We gave them enjoyment [of life] for a time. 148 Then ask them whether your Lord has daughters and they have sons. 149 Did We create the angels females, to which they were witnesses? 150 Then is it of their lying that they say: 151 Allah has begotten; and most surely they are liars. 152 Does He prefer sons to daughters? 153 What ails you that you judge in such a wise? 154 Will you then not take heed? 155 “Or do you have some clear proof?” 156 Then bring your book, if you are truthful. 157 They have established a kinship between Allah and the angels; and the angels know well that these people will be arraigned (as culprits). 158 Exalted is Allah above what they describe, 159 Except the chosen bondmen of Allah. 160 Lo! verily, ye and that which ye worship, 161 You cannot tempt [anyone] away from Him 162 unless it be such as rushes towards the blazing fire [of his own accord]! 163 [The angels say], "Every single one of us has his place assigned: 164 We stand in ranks (for prayer) 165 And verily we! we hallow. 166 AND, INDEED, they [who deny the truth] have always been wont to say, 167 Had we but an admonition as had the ancients. 168 we would certainly be true servants of God." 169 But they disbelieved in it; soon they shall know! 170 We have already given Our promise to Our Messengers 171 That they would certainly be assisted, 172 and that it is Our host that would certainly triumph. 173 (Muhammad), stay away from them for a while 174 and see, and soon they too shall see. 175 Do they want to hasten Our punishment? 176 But when it cometh home to them, then it will be a hapless morn for those who have been warned. 177 So turn thou away from them for a little while, 178 and see, soon they shall see! 179 LIMITLESS in His glory is thy Sustainer, the Lord of almightiness, [exalted] above anything that men may devise by way of definition! 180 Peace be upon the Messengers 181 And Praise to Allah, the Lord and Cherisher of the Worlds. 182
Almighty Allah's Truth.
