Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the heaven is split asunder, 1 and when the stars are scattered, 2 the oceans are merged together, 3 and when graves are laid open, 4 then a soul shall know its works, the former and the latter. 5 O MAN! What is it that lures thee away from thy bountiful Sustainer, 6 Who created thee, then fashioned, then proportioned thee? 7 He moulded you into whatever shape He willed. 8 No indeed; (the fact is that) you deny the Reckoning, declaring it a lie; 9 But verily, over you (are appointed angels in charge of mankind) to watch you. 10 noble scribes, 11 who know whatever you do. 12 Most surely the righteous are in bliss, 13 whereas, behold, the wicked will indeed be in a blazing fire 14 They will enter it on the Day of Justice. 15 to burn therein. 16 And what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense? 17 Again, what do you know what the Day of Recompense is? 18 The day on which no soul shall control anything for (another) soul; and the command on that day shall be entirely Allah's. 19
