The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
I swear by the mansions of the stars, 1 And [by] the promised Day 2 And by oath of the day that is a witness and by oath of a day in which the people present themselves. 3 the people of the pit were destroyed 4 Of the fire (kept burning) with fuel, 5 As they sat around it 6 And they, to what they were doing against the believers, were witnesses. 7 And they resented them not except because they believed in Allah, the Exalted in Might, the Praiseworthy, 8 to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. Allah witnesses everything. 9 Verily, those who put into trial the believing men and believing women (by torturing them and burning them), and then do not turn in repentance, (to Allah), will have the torment of Hell, and they will have the punishment of the burning Fire. 10 Lo! those who believe and do good works, theirs will be Gardens underneath which rivers flow. That is the Great Success. 11 The grip of your Lord is severe indeed! 12 Surely He it is Who originates and reproduces, 13 And He is Oft-Forgiving, full of love (towards the pious who are real true believers of Islamic Monotheism), 14 The Lord of the Glorious Throne, 15 Who does as He pleases. 16 Hath there come unto thee the story of the hosts 17 of the Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 But those who disbelieve are engaged in denial. 19 Whereas Allah is, from behind them, Encompassing. 20 Indeed, this is a Glorious Koran, 21 upon an imperishable tablet [inscribed]. 22
