۞ AND [there came a time when] We inspired Moses thus: "Go forth with My servants by night: for, behold, you will be pursued!" 52 So Firaun sent gatherers into the cities. 53 [And said], "Indeed, those are but a small band, 54 And indeed, they are enraging us, 55 But we are a numerous host, ever on guard." 56 So We expelled them from gardens and fountains, 57 their treasures and a noble station. 58 and We made the Children of Israel inheritors of these bounties. 59 And so [the Egyptians] caught up with them at sunrise; 60 So when the two hosts saw each other, the companions of Musa cried out: Most surely we are being overtaken. 61 He said: Nay, verily! for lo! my Lord is with me. He will guide me. 62 We sent a revelation to Moses saying, "Strike the sea with your staff." The sea was rent asunder and each side stood high up like a huge mountain. 63 And there We brought the others on, 64 We delivered Moses and all who were with him; 65 then We drowned the others. 66 Indeed in this is surely a sign, and most of them were not Muslims. 67 truly, your Lord is the Mighty One, the Merciful. 68
