We built the heaven with might, and We widely extended it. 47 And We have spread out the earth, how Excellent Spreader (thereof) are We! 48 We have created everything in pairs so that perhaps you may take heed. 49 Therefore flee unto God! I am a clear warner from Him to you. 50 And make not another an object of worship with Allah: I am from Him a Warner to you, clear and open! 51 Thus has it been (in the past): never did a Messenger come to the nations that preceded them but they said: “(He is) a sorcerer, or a mad-man.” 52 What, have they bequeathed it one to another? Nay, but they are an insolent people. 53 Then turn your back upon them for you are not to blame; 54 But remind, the Reminder will benefit the believers. 55 And [tell them that] I have not created the invisible beings and men to any end other than that they may [know and] worship Me. 56 I do not ask any sustenance from them, nor wish that they give Me food. 57 Verily, Allah is the All-Provider, Owner of Power, the Most Strong. 58 For the Wrong-doers, their portion is like unto the portion of their fellows (of earlier generations): then let them not ask Me to hasten (that portion)! 59 Woe, then, betide those who disbelieved in that Day of theirs which they are being asked to hold in dread. 60
