Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ When the Sky is cleft asunder; 1 And when the stars have fallen and scattered; 2 when the seas are made to burst forth, 3 when the graves are overturned, 4 everyone shall know all his deeds, both the earlier and the later. 5 O man, what seduced you from your munificent Lord 6 who created you, fashioned you and proportioned you, 7 In whatever shape He will He could surely have fashioned you. 8 No indeed; (the fact is that) you deny the Reckoning, declaring it a lie; 9 Verify there are for you guardians, 10 noble scribes, 11 They know whatever you do. 12 Most surely the righteous are in bliss, 13 and the wicked shall be in the Blazing Fire. 14 which they will enter on the Day of Judgment 15 And thence they shall not be allowed to be absent. 16 And what shall make thee know whatsoever the Day of Requital is? 17 Again, what will convey unto thee what the Day of Judgment is! 18 It will be a Day when no human being shall be of the least avail to any other human being, God [alone] will hold command on that Day. 19
