The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate

Woe to every backbiter, slanderer 1 who amasses wealth and counts it, 2 Does he think that his wealth will prolong his stay on earth forever? 3 Nay, he shall be thrown into the Crusher. 4 Would that you knew what hutamah is! 5 A fire kindled by God, 6 which shall oversee the hearts, 7 Indeed it will be shut over them. 8 in columns outstretched. 9

God the Almighty always says the truth.
