T H (Taa Haa)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ TA HA. 1 We have not sent the Quran to make you, (Muhammad), miserable, 2 but as a reminder to he who fears. 3 it is a revelation from Him who has created the earth and the high heavens, 4 The Beneficent Allah is firm in power. 5 To Him only belongs all whatever is in the heavens and all whatever is in the earth, and all whatever is between them, and all whatever is beneath this wet soil. 6 And if you utter the saying aloud, then surely He knows the secret, and what is yet more hidden. 7 God -- there is no god but He. To Him belong the Names Most Beautiful. 8 AND HAS the story of Moses ever come within thy ken? 9 Lo! he saw a fire [in the desert]; and so he said to his family: "Wait here! Behold, I perceive a fire [far away]: perhaps I can bring you a brand there from, or find at the fire some guidance." 10 So when he came to it, a voice was uttered: O Musa: 11 I am your Lord! Take off your sandals, for you are in the sacred valley of Tuwa. 12 and I have chosen thee [to be My apostle]: listen, then, to what is being revealed [unto thee]. 13 "Verily, I am Allah: There is no god but I: So serve thou Me (only), and establish regular prayer for celebrating My praise. 14 The Hour is coming. But I choose to keep it hidden, so that every human being may be recompensed in accordance with his labours. 15 Let none bar thee from it, that believes not in it but follows after his own caprice, or thou wilt perish. 16 And what is that in thy right hand, O Musa! 17 'It is my staff," Moses replied, "upon it I lean and with it I beat down leaves to feed my sheep and for me there are other uses in it' 18 He said, “Put it down, O Moosa! 19 He threw it, and behold! It was a snake, active in motion. 20 [Allah] said, "Seize it and fear not; We will return it to its former condition. 21 “And put your hand inside your armpit – it will come out shining white, not due to any illness – one more sign.” 22 That We may show you of Our greater signs: 23 Go to Pharaoh; he has waxed insolent.' 24
