The tribe of Thamud also rejected Our warnings: 23 And said, "Is it one human being among us that we should follow? Indeed, we would then be in error and madness. 24 Why - on him alone from among all of us should a [divine] reminder have been bestowed? Nay, but he is a boastful liar!" 25 (We told Our Messenger): “Tomorrow they shall know who is the insolent liar. 26 We shall send the she-camel as a trial for them; so watch their end with patience. 27 Let them know that the water should be divided between them and the she-camel, each availing their turn.” 28 But they called to their companion, and he took a sword in hand, and hamstrung (her). 29 So how awesome were My chastisement and My warnings! 30 We sent upon them a single blast of sound and they were left like hay to be used by the cattle. 31 And We have indeed made the Qur'an easy to understand and remember: then is there any that will receive admonition? 32 The people of Lut rejected (his) warning. 33 We sent against them a violent Tornado with showers of stones, (which destroyed them), except Lut's household: them We delivered by early Dawn,- 34 As a favour from Us. Thus We recompense him who giveth thanks. 35 Surely Lot warned his people that We shall seize them (with Our chastisement), but they doubted the warnings. 36 And they even sought to snatch away his guests from him, but We blinded their eyes. (They heard:) "Now taste ye My Wrath and My Warning." 37 Early on the morrow an abiding Punishment seized them: 38 'Now, taste My punishment and My warnings' 39 We have made it easy indeed to learn lessons from the Quran. Is there anyone who would receive admonition? 40

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
