Nay, and by the moon, 32 And by the night when it withdraws, 33 and the dawn when it is white, 34 Verily, it (Hell, or their denial of the Prophet Muhammad SAW, or the Day of Resurrection) is but one of the greatest calamities. 35 a warning to humans, 36 a warning to everyone of you whether he would like to come forward or lag behind. 37 Every soul is held in pledge for what it earns, 38 except those of the right hand 39 In Gardens, they seek answers, 40 Concerning the guilty: 41 "what led you into hell?" 42 They will say: "We were not of those who prayed; 43 we fed not the needy, 44 And plunged into useless things with those who were obstinate, 45 And we used to deny the Day of Judgment, 46 "Until there came to us (the death) that is certain." 47 So, the intercession of intercessors will not avail them. 48 Then what is [the matter] with them that they are, from the reminder, turning away 49 like startled wild donkeys 50 fleeing before a lion? 51 Rather each one of them desires that he should be given open Books. 52 By no means! Aye, they fear not the Hereafter. 53 Never so, as this is a reminder. 54 Let him who will take heed: 55 But they will not benefit from it unless Allah Himself so wills. He is worthy to be feared; and He is worthy to forgive (those that fear Him). 56
